Just a bit about me and the path that I have taken in my life when it comes to customer satisfaction and the passion I have for wanting to work with people. On my 16th birthday, my mom and dad told me to walk up to McDonald's and get a job and don't come home until I had one. I came home that evening with the new title of fry girl. And little did I know that on that day, my 25 year career in the restaurant business began. For 11 years I worked my way up the ladder at McDonalds. I graduated from high school and graduated from college while I was there. The summer that I graduated from college,is when I realized that I actually loved what I did and even though it had nothing to do with my degree, that working with people is what I wanted to do. I moved on from McDonald's, I wanted to test the waters with a different company. I went to work for what is now Checker's Hamburgers. With Checker's I moved up the ladder. I went from a assistant manager to a general manager to a training manager to the lead trainer for the whole metro Detroit area and finally a Area Manager with 8 restaurants and over 300 employees. Hiring a 16 year old, knowing that it was their first job, made my heart dance. Having to take some of them off of the schedule because their report card was not up to snuff, broke my heart. I still had them come to work so we could tutor them on our own time and then, to see their grades improve, is why I did what I did. Training my team and other new managers coming into the company and see them blossom, it why I did what I did. I loved being able to take part in helping other people reach their goals. It was their drive and determination that got them where they were and on a road to success, I just provided the tools and the road for them to travel.
I left the restaurant business after 25 years to be a stay at home mom for several years. It was a blessing that I was able to do that and I would not trade it for the world!!! When I decided that it was time for me to get back into the people business, that I missed and love so much, I chose Real Estate. I get to work with fantastic people, I get to work hard, earn their trust and I get to help people reach their dreams. I still get to use my toolbox to help people make their dreams come true but it is just a different road that we are going to go down.
So in one simple word, the reason I chose real estate...people!!!!
